Desired: Know-how from the experts
The methods of control are just as diverse as the pests they target. Success is only guaranteed if the measures are targeted and no gaps are left. Chemical methods, even in the smallest doses, pose a risk to health and the environment and therefore belong in the hands of a trained specialist. This also ensures that legal regulations are adhered to exactly and that no unwanted damage occurs.
At Desinsekta, good advice is not expensive and ensures you
a quick and effective solution to your problem.
We have to accept the existence of pests of all kinds, especially since in most cases their damaging effect is only made possible by the conditions that humans have created in their habitat. After all, it is not surprising that a grain mill exerts a great attraction on rodents and storage pests…. Nevertheless, it is our aim to prevent the reproduction of and damage caused by such food pests as far as possible. The reason why certain facilities, such as food processing plants, suffer from pests is due to the food supply and the shelter they provide. And this is precisely the basis of any approach to effective control. Closer observation and analysis of infestations, identification of entry routes, detection of breeding sites and selective control are the basic elements of an integrated pest control strategy. Equally important is the appropriate use of resources, as the watering can principle does not help here. It is of little use if the pests are eradicated, but the products are also rendered useless by the use of pesticides. In any case, our increased knowledge of ecological interrelationships requires the well-dosed and considered use of pesticides. Chemicals can only ever be an emergency solution.
With the help of systematic monitoring and the use of attractants, it is possible to determine which types of pests are present in a building. By systematically placing traps and baits, we can map entry routes, pinpoint infestation hotspots, and assess the severity of the infestation. The HAACP concept (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) is an essential tool for this. It defines the potential danger points for a pest infestation using a sophisticated and proven system. This enables effective prevention as well as targeted and selective control.
Buildings and facilities must be inspected regularly to determine where there is a possibility of introduction or migration. This involves building openings of all kinds, waste handling, delivery routes, transitions and connections to other buildings. The installation of biocidal barriers and baits can effectively prevent infestation or spread. Systematic prevention naturally requires regular cooperation with Desinsekta, as only the support of qualified specialists can guarantee efficient pest control and rapid, appropriate action on site.
The evaluation and interpretation of the knowledge gained about the pest situation is a task that our IHK-certified pest controllers specialise in after a three-year training period. They are direct contacts for the customer’s responsible operations and production managers. This enables short decision-making processes and a rapid response to identified risks. Adequate measures with the least possible use of resources are initiated immediately and the client can be sure that an optimum result is achieved within the framework of hygiene regulations and residue control.
Computer-aided recording, evaluation and status reports provide the company with a detailed overview of the infestation situation at all times. Test results, measures taken, active substances, application sites and work reports provide a comprehensive record of the status. The certified Desinsekta pest controller assumes responsibility for supervision and ensures, among other things, that all safety and precautionary measures are taken and adhered to. Normally, between six and twelve visits per year are necessary in order to determine the current status by evaluating the monitoring measures. If necessary, suitable measures can then be initiated immediately. In an emergency, Desinsekta ensures that the necessary steps are taken within a few hours.
