Here are the key details you need to know about this apprenticeship:

  • Duration of training: 3 years
  • Required school leaving certificate: Secondary school
  • Dual training: Vocational school and company in equal parts

Pests transmit nasty diseases and often cause economic losses for those affected. Whether rats, cockroaches, bugs or pigeons – they are usually unpopular troublemakers.

During your training, you will learn all about pests and beneficial insects. You will also learn which preventative measures are useful and which sustainable control measures are available so that you can help those affected by an infestation.
Detect and recognise pests, plan suitable countermeasures and professionally control or relocate them. With this knowledge and the appropriate measures, you can provide professional help. Biological methods are increasingly replacing the chemicals used in the past.

Your work locations are varied: in hospitals or restaurants, private homes or agricultural production facilities – you will gain practical experience and new knowledge everywhere. You will always help residents, operators and owners to prevent the worst from happening.

You are ideally suited if you are not afraid of vermin and cramped, dark rooms. Even dirt, dust and strong odors should not deter you from applying.

We look forward to seeing you!

We actively help to save lives! Since summer 2020, a defibrillator has been hanging in the church vestibule of the Christ the King parish in Praunheim (Damaschkeanger 156), which was purchased jointly by several companies from the region.

We were also involved and received the certificate below as a thank you in December 2023.

Sudden cardiac death often occurs without warning and can affect anyone – whether male or female, young or old. At home, at work, during sport or even in the parish of St. Mary’s in Frankfurt.

For this reason, we have joined forces with other companies from the region to purchase a defibrillator. This has been hanging on the life-saving board in the church vestibule of the Christ the King parish in Praunheim (Damaschkeanger 156) since summer 2020.

Did you know that everyone is allowed to use a defibrillator? After a cardiac arrest, every second counts. The pictograms, voice and text displays shown guide inexperienced laypersons and first aiders through resuscitation. You can increase the survival rate of the victim by up to 75 percent if you administer a shock within the first few minutes after the cardiac arrest.

The certification issued on March 14, 2022 confirms that we meet the requirements of EN 16636 for the following areas of application Professional implementation of pest prevention and control measures to protect public health, property and the environment.

You can continue to rely on the consistently high quality of our services!

The “hygiene pillory” in the food industry with publications on the Internet is imminent throughout Germany. Corresponding notifications are already being published in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Saarland. Presumably from spring 2019, the authorities nationwide will be obliged to inform the public about the following cases:

  • if legal limits, maximum levels or maximum quantities are exceeded (provided that the results of at least two independent tests are available, usually from state testing facilities)
  • if there is reasonable suspicion that regulations for the protection of consumers against health hazards, deception or compliance with hygiene requirements have not been complied with to a not insignificant extent or repeatedly and the imposition of a fine of at least € 350 is to be expected

Of course, these incidents should be avoided wherever possible, as in individual cases publications can have serious consequences for companies. To avoid complaints, we recommend that you pay particular attention to the following points:

  • Basic hygiene and other preventive measures
  • HACCP concept incl. documentation
  • Staff training on hygiene, HACCP if applicable and follow-up instruction in accordance with Section 43 (4) of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG)
  • Representative sample plan (self-monitoring)
  • Labeling regulations
  • Supplier evaluation and selection

For examples of publications, see www.lebensmitteltransparenz.nrw.de or www.saarland.de. We will be happy to advise you on the best way to avoid complaints.

Summer is now over in this country, and it is all the more understandable when trips take you far away into the warmth. Some time later at home, however, the vacation joy can quickly evaporate if small uninvited guests have traveled back with you. Initially brought in unnoticed in your luggage, they nest in dark and hidden corners and then go in search of food at night: human and animal blood. Bedbug bites not only itch and burn very unpleasantly, the small insects also serve as an intermediate host for all kinds of pathogens. Some people can also have an allergic reaction to the sting secretion.

With their size of 3.8 to 5.5 millimeters, they are not exactly eye-catching, and bedbugs and their hiding places must be searched for carefully. Their life expectancy is between 6 and 12 months. They are cosmopolitan, i.e. they are found almost everywhere in the world and it is not unlikely that they will be introduced in your luggage.

Only the pest controller can help here, acting against the small, rapidly multiplying parasites. A female lays several eggs almost every day, up to 200 in her entire lifetime. Quick action is required here before the bedbugs become a real plague.
